Eastern Washington University (EWU) is home to the first intercollegiate wheelchair basketball team in the Northwest and going into their 6th season. We’re building the premier inclusive athletics program in the region. To keep our athletes competing at the highest level, we rely on community support. EWU Wheelchair basketball is one of 12 intercollegiate teams in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association. Through intercollegiate athletics, our student-athletes become successful graduates who represent EWU through their careers.
Our estimated annual budget of $300,000 covers essential needs: equipment (wheelchairs, wheels, tires, and maintenance), travel to games across the country, meals on the road, staffing, and team apparel. While the university and grants provide some support, we depend on donors like you to keep the program strong and sustainable.
