Submit a Project Idea!

At Eastern Washington University (EWU), crowdfunding serves as a platform for students, faculty, and staff to secure funding for their passion projects through the Eastern Washington University Foundation. This initiative is powered by peer-to-peer relationships, allowing groups to tap into their personal networks while leveraging EWU branding and support from the Annual Giving team.

Please use this form to submit information about your prospective crowdfunding project. Please be advised that the submission of this application does not guarantee immediate project approval. The EWU office of Annual Giving will follow up with each submitting party within 3-4 business days to further discuss project eligibility.

Projects generally fall into two categories:

Impact Projects, which typically have a specific fundraising or donor target and run for 30 days, using urgency to drive contributions.

Evergreen Projects, which can continue indefinitely as long as the project team can maintain their efforts. Our project teams are key collaborators in this process.

Collaborators are given access to EagFunder, our crowdfunding platform, where they can submit content, such as images, videos, and written material, to promote their causes.

Successful Projects have:

  • Strong need for community support
  • Committed pool of potential donors including family, friends, and your personal network
  • A compelling and engaging story
  • A dedicated and committed project team
  • Attainable fundraising goals of at least $1,000

We cannot crowdfund for:

  • Salaries
  • External organizations
  • Individual tuition and fees

How will Annual Giving help?

  • Reviewing the project to recommend donor and dollar goals.
  • Providing collaborators with a Project Leader Checklist.
  • Creating the tile with your submissions on the EagFunder homepage.
  • Sending regular emails to collaborators with project status updates.
